Mentoring Time

Instruction
The
Mentoring Time will include discussion with an adult, all memory work exercises, lesson review questions, and supplemental material. I am asking that each week, one parent or the confirmand’s mentor attend with him or her. These sessions will be lead by a facilitator.
The value of this structure is to allow the confirmands to grow closer to their parents and mentors in the faith. Adults are asked to take turns attending.

The Youth Program at Faith
The youth group at Faith Lutheran is for those youth in 7th - 12th grade. The purpose of the youth group at Faith Lutheran is to provide youth the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ, serve those around with them with the same love that Christ has shown us, and to come together with fellow believers of Christ and enjoy one another's fellowship.

Some of the ways we grow in our relationship with Christ is through Bible studies which are held on Sunday mornings during the Sunday school hour, 10:30 - 11:30 am and a Bible study for youth in 9th - 12th grade is held on Sunday evenings a couple nights a month.

Some of the ways in which we serve is helping those organizations that serve the Columbus area such as the Love Chapel and Orphan Grain Train by volunteering our time to help them with their ministries. We also look to serve the congregation at Faith in a wide variety of ways and by helping lead the services on the 5th Sunday of the month.

We try to get together and have fun and enjoy one another's fellowship through game nights, taking trips, lock-ins, parties and other activities.

In everything we do we look to bring glory to God because of the great love He has shown for us.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. (Eph. 2: 4-9 NIV)
