Admissions Process Our Admissions Process starts with your Application for Preschool or Extended Care. When we receive your application interest form, we are then prompted to start our admission process which includes contact from the director, a school tour, admissions interview, and the onboarding process. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for the admissions process to be completed for your student. Spots fill quickly, and are not reserved until registration fees are paid on Brightwheel. Apply Now Application The application is a simple form which helps us collect information about your student. If applying for preschool and also interested in extended care, fill out a preschool application. If only interested in extended care, fill out the extended care application. There are no fees for applications. Director Contact Our office manager will forward your application and information to the Director of the Preschool for their review. The Director will then reach out to you via phone and email to answer any questions and to set up a school tour. School Tour Once the school tour is scheduled, families and the students are invited to tour with the Director, meet teachers, and check out our awesome location. Admissions Interview Families and students are also invited to participate in an admission interview during or after the school tour to get a better idea of how the student will fit in our programs and to ask any additional questions. Onboard If both parties have agreed to move forward, the onboarding process begins. This onboarding process includes: Welcome email from the Director with school information Invite to join Brightwheel, our student information system and main communication platform Billing Setup on Brightwheel and Registration fee invoices (due promptly to secure spot) Paperwork email which must be thoroughly completed before student may begin Student starts school Open House Our Annual Open House takes place in February. We invite interested families to attend the open house with their children to learn more about our faith, school, the admissions process, meet teachers, learn about tuition & aid, and much more for the following school year. Extended Care We offer extended child care before and after school hours and during school breaks. Join Us Programs Our Extended Care consists of: before school, after school, break care, and summer camp programs. These options are independent of our Preschool program, but often include our preschool students. Our Extended Care is open to local children ages 3-12. We also have a bus that transports students to & from nearby Southside Elementary. Before School Before school starts as early as 7AM and includes breakfast. ELementary Bus Riders going to Southside depart at 7:20AM After School Elementary Bus Riders coming from Southside arrive around 3:05PM After School is open until 5:30PM and includes a snack. Break Care We offer break care during Fall Break and Spring Break only. Hours of operation are 7AM-5PM and includes breakfast & snack. Summer Camp We offer 8 weeks of Summer Camp with themes for each week. Hours of operation are 8AM-5PM* and includes breakfast & snack. Daily Activities & Snack Activities Our Extended Care Leadership team plans the Activities and daily snacks. Acti vities are play-based and may incorporate Minds in Motion equipment, outdoor playground, indoor games, crafts, materials, and technology. Engagement in activities and play is encouraged with opportunities for rest throughout the day. Snack In after school, students are served a snack after the elementary students arrive from the Southside bus. Break care & Summer Camp serves breakfast daily at 9AM and a snack in the afternoon. Students are to bring their cold lunches from home for lunch time. We understand that some students may have food allergies. Tuition We believe quality Christian education should be affordable. Our rates depend on the schedule you need for your children. Preschool tuition is for half day or full day school. Extended care tuition are independent programs and charges. We do offer a need-based scholarship program to assist with preschool tuition expenses. Currently, we do not have a program for extended care tuition assistance. Financial Aid: Scholarship Program Our financial Aid Scholarship Program is an in-house, need-based scholarship program that is funded by the generosity of our congregation and community members. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to support children and their families financially to allow for a positive Christian learning experience at Faith Lutheran. We do encourage our scholars to have great attendance and participation in both the Church and the School. All interested scholars and their families must also apply for ccdf vouchers if eligible beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. Decisions on scholarship awards are made by the Preschool Director and the Board of Education at Faith Lutheran. To start the scholarship application process, please submit our application form below. We will then follow up with you about next steps.
